Flight 447 Found

Some wreckage has been found in the atlantic along flight 447′s flight path, which the braziliann government has confirmed as being from the doomed airliner.

Among the debris includes an airplane seat, a life jacket, metallic debris and signs of fuel.

This is great news as it means that they are much closer to being able to find out exactly what happened to the airliner, and more importantly to  being able to bring home the victims of this tradegy to their greiving familys.

This is all i have at the moment.

authorities have still not released a passenger manifest i will keep you updated.

*UPDATE*

The debris found and mentioned here is not that of flight 447 it was just floating trash i am sorry for the misleading information, i keep you updated as to if they do find any actual debris.

*UPDATE* 7/6/09

There have been 2 bodies recovered from the atlantic the are definately from the Air France flight, Some of the wreckage recovered at the same time included  stub from a ticket to the flight.

*UPDATE* 12/6/09

The latest findings have the plane breaking up in midair over the space of a few minutes, rather than one catastrophic incident.

The Brazilian air force has revealed that bodies have been found as far as 50 miles apart, and the other factor to this, the latest conclusion is that further analysis into the messages the plane sent out before contact was lost, does suggest that the plane broke apart in the air before it crashed.

228 souls are lost forever May they all rest in peace.

I am Ex U.S.Marines Pilot, and Ex United airlines 747 Pilot, I think after all the information, that the air spead indicators froze, and the crew didn’t know the true airspead, if you loose this tools, you have a serious problem you either slow the plane so much that you stall and fall out of the sky, or you spead to much and the plane will break apart in the air, I believe the airspead indicators was faulty,

I’m curious to see the messages that were automatically sent before/as the plane broke apart

whatever happened with Air France Flight 447 was very unfortunate and even more
scary to think about.I can imagine the fear each one of them must have gone through in those couple of minutes.I myself could not digest the fact that those 228 people had never made
back home, then just guess about their shattered families and loved ones who must have
awaited them for sometime atleast.God give them the strenght, courage and bless the departed souls.

I choose to believe(whether true or not)that each and every passanger and crew member on that plane passed out quickly due to the loss of pressure; And with this, they didn’t have any fears and were totally unaware of anything happening. I now think about the families and friends of those people and hope that they may be able to remember the happy moments, good memories and funny times they shared and continue with their lives in the best ways possible.

Karin is quite wrong. Loss of cabin pressure at 35,000′ will cause death to un-acclimated persons, but not instantly. The time required for 447 to hit the sea was probably less than 5 minutes and on a continual descent through lower altitude. Other than death from fear or heart attack, I’m afraid most passengers would have been concious until the fatal contact which then resulted in impact death from awesome g-forces. My critical question is where are the nuclear subs and their sensitive sonars? They can hear whales 10,000 miles away so they will certainly hear the flight recorder pings. Is the US involved with subs? Why haven’t we heard?
