A Flashy Return
Trae Young’s first game in D.C. was a mixed bag of rust and razzle-dazzle. Despite limited playtime, he managed to thrill the crowd with a slick layup and some fancy footwork. The Wizards still lost to the Jazz 122-112, but Young’s 12 points and six assists were a glimpse of what he might bring to the team.
His debut was more about shaking off cobwebs than winning. Young was on a 20-minute leash and missed most of his 3-point attempts. Still, his court vision and playmaking hinted at the excitement he could bring back to a team that’s been missing it since John Wall’s heyday.
Learning Curve
